1. Introduction
Welcome to Two Way Vox. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our iOS application.
2. Microphone and Voice Data
Two Way Vox requires access to your device's microphone to provide real-time translation services. When you speak into the app, your voice audio is temporarily processed using Apple's Speech Recognition frameworks and third-party APIs (Google Gemini, Microsoft Azure) strictly for the purpose of transcribing and translating your speech.
We do not store your voice recordings on our servers. Audio data is processed in real-time and discarded immediately after transcription. Text transcriptions are saved locally on your device to display your conversation history, which you can delete at any time.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to power the app:
- Google Gemini API: Used for advanced contextual text translation.
- Microsoft Azure Speech: Used for transcription (Speech-to-Text) and vocalization (Text-to-Speech) of translated text.
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can manage your ad preferences in your iOS Settings.
4. Data Retention
Your conversation history is stored locally on your device via SwiftData. If you delete the app, this data is permanently erased. We do not maintain a central database of your conversations.
